Sculpture Walk in Hanmer
A few classes from the school went on camp in Hanmer Springs. We went on a sculpture walk and the sculptures were really cool. There was a dog on a tree stump carved in redwood. Then there was a possum hanging on a tree. Then there was something that looked like a bigger possum on a tree wearing a helmet and climbing gear, it was funny. There was a bird and mice and I stood up on a high stump with the bird and Miss Hines took a photo. Then there was a place where you had to turn left but most of the group turned right or straight. It was Miss Hines, My Dad, Tom, Franklin, Oli, Kyra and Me that went the right way. There weren't any more sculptures but we kept walking and there was this cool hut thing made out of wood that we went in. Then we walked back along the path and waited at the dog sculpture. Then the other missing people came back and we went back to camp for our next activity.

Camp
This week we went to Hanmer Springs for our school camp. We stayed 3 days and 2 nights. It was amazing. We did orienteering, walk to the cemetery and a sculpture walk, mountain biking, walk up Conical hill then the lolly shop and then tree climbing. My favourite activities were probably mountain biking and tree climbing. In tree climbing there was a big tree and I climbed to the top of it. I was happy and impressed with myself. Mountain biking was so fun. You don't know whats coming next whether it's a sharp bend, a slope, a bridge or an uphill. I liked it when there were bends and bridges.

Hobbies
Hi my name is Dylan. I'm 12 and I'm new to Grey Main School. My interests and hobbies are Skating, Cooking, Maths, Chess and Piano. My favourite food is Salmon, my favourite animal is a cheetah. If I could go anywhere in the world I would go to Argentina because they have a really nice caramel sauce thing called dulce de leche and it's so good. You can put it on top of ice cream or other food or you could just get a spoon and eat it. Also I want to learn more Spanish and they speak Spanish there.
How the first volcano was made
This week we had to create our own myth
Miss Power read us some myths and legends and then we had to create our own.
We had to have a main character, and write about how a natural phenomenon came to be eg. How Volcanoes are made, Why the grass is green etc. This is mine.
