Argument 3

I strongly believe that animals should be kept in zoos.
I would feel much better knowing lions are behind glass
and secure rather than them being free to roam around.
I believe that animals should be kept in zoos because
they’re pretty well looked after depending on the zoo,
endangered animals are protected and people attempt
to breed them back. Lastly, they can be awesome
entertainment and are sometimes really cool to look at.
Here is some more depth into why I think it’s ok to
keep animals in zoos. 

Firstly, I think that animals are quite well looked after
in zoos. In some zoos the enclosures are really open
and big with not much fencing, as they have natural
barriers such as trees and trenches. They are fed and
watered often and when they are sick they are cared
for. They have places to play and socialise with other
animals of the same species in their enclosure. It also
protects them from poachers and other people who kill
and hunt animals.

Secondly, it is much safer for endangered animals to
be kept in zoos. Think about it, what if there was and
endangered bird in the wild, it could be killed by
poachers for money, killed by predators or catch a
disease. I’m not saying they couldn’t die in the zoo, but
they are more protected there.
They even have breeding programs to help bring
back endangered animals. Indeed, animals such as the Arabian oryx, California condor, Partula
snails, Przewalski's horse and Socorro dove owe their
very existence to zoos.
They get endangered animals and if they only have one
they could ask other zoos around if they have one so
that they can keep the species going. The only way
animals could die in the zoo is of age or an unfortunate
disease.

Lastly, it can be awesome to look at the animals.
They can be so interesting and even cute sometimes.
Personally, my favourite animal in the zoo is a Cheetah.
They are the fastest animal on the planet and look
awesome. Also the lions are really cool. Once we were at
the zoo and we heard the lion roar really loud and we
were scared it had escaped.  The chimpanzees are really
cute especially the baby ones. What’s your favourite
animal in the zoo? Also, animals in the zoo don’t
only provide entertainment, they can educate us about
the animals and what we can do to help them so that
way everyone understands about the beautiful animals
that are in zoos.

This is why I feel that animals should be kept in zoos.
They are well looked after, it is good for endangered
or sick animals and they can be awesome entertainment.
I hope this argument changed your mind about animals
being kept in zoos.
